To thoroughly implement the decisions and deployments of the Yushu Provincial Party Committee and Government regarding promoting the development of export-oriented supply areas for green and organic agricultural and livestock products and further enhance the brand image and market competitiveness of these products, the Yushu Provincial Bureau of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Science and Technology actively organized and carried out standardized packaging work for agricultural and livestock products from May 15th to 17th.

A meeting was held to discuss packaging solutions. A symposium on standardized packaging for agricultural and livestock products was held, inviting relevant prefectural departments, agricultural and livestock product production and processing companies, and the third-party agency responsible for packaging design. At the meeting, the third-party agency presented a preliminary proposal for standardized packaging for agricultural and livestock products in Yushu Prefecture, detailing the design concept, color palette, and material selection. The prefectural government official in charge attended the meeting and outlined work requirements, emphasizing the importance of standardized packaging for enhancing the brand value of Yushu's agricultural and livestock products and promoting industrial development. He urged all parties to attach great importance to and closely cooperate to ensure the smooth progress of the standardized packaging work. Representatives from participating companies also freely discussed packaging solutions, providing valuable feedback and suggestions based on their own product characteristics and market demand, providing important insights for refining the packaging plan.
Field research to gain a deeper understanding of needs. In accordance with the prefectural government's work arrangements, the Prefectural Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Science and Technology Bureau organized a third-party agency to conduct field research in Yushu City, Zhiduo County, and Qumalai County to gain a deeper understanding of the types, production volume, quality characteristics, and current packaging of agricultural and livestock products in each region. During the research, the working group conducted extensive communication and exchanges with local agricultural and animal husbandry departments and several business leaders, conducted on-site inspections of the production and processing of agricultural and livestock products, and collected a wealth of first-hand information. The research revealed that agricultural and livestock products from various regions possess distinct characteristics, but packaging suffers from diverse forms, a lack of unified standards, and limited innovative designs, making it difficult to establish a strong brand presence in the market.
Reporting on the results and clarifying the work direction. After completing the field research, a third-party agency systematically organized and analyzed the collected information and reported its findings to the Yushu Prefecture Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Science and Technology Bureau. The report stated that standardized packaging for agricultural and livestock products in Yushu Prefecture should highlight regional characteristics and ecological advantages, incorporate Tibetan cultural elements, and embody green, organic, and healthy concepts. Furthermore, packaging should be diversified to meet market demand based on the characteristics of different products and sales channels. Based on the research findings, the Yushu Prefecture Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Science and Technology Bureau and the third-party agency jointly discussed and determined the next steps. They will further optimize the packaging design and solicit feedback from all parties to ensure that the final plan reflects the unique charm of Yushu Prefecture's agricultural and livestock products while meeting market demand and consumer preferences.
Currently, work on standardized packaging for agricultural and livestock products in Yushu Prefecture is progressing steadily. In the next step, the State Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Science and Technology Bureau will continue to strengthen communication and cooperation with all parties, accelerate the improvement and implementation of packaging design plans, strive to realize standardized packaging of agricultural and livestock products in Yushu Prefecture as soon as possible, and assist in the construction of green organic agricultural and livestock product export supply areas.
